Key to Concentration
As anyone who has tried to teach the Pilates principle of Concentration knows, it doesn't just happen! There must be a focal point to initiate the concentration. In this three-hour workshop, Jillian will identify and utilize several key elements to enhance a client's concentration level including imagery, body alignment, sensory awareness, muscle firing, and breathing patterns. The class will also explore the use of props that provide an unstable surface such as foam rollers, exercise balls, and rotating discs. |
Thu., April 6

Reformer Precision
The focus of this three-hour reformer workshop is the Pilates principle of Precision. Emphasis will be on precise verbal cueing and hands-on guidance of the client. Jillian looks forward to sharing the teachings of Kathy Grant, Carola Trier, and Ron Fletcher as well as her own modifications and modern updates of classical Reformer exercises. |

Mat Class with Magic CircleRev up your "same old" mat class by adding an original prop designed by Joseph Pilates himself — the Magic Circle! Jillian's mat class will really get you moving and breathing for the whole day, and she will also introduce some fun and refreshing variations on the Classic Mat repertoire using the Circle. |
